2D illustrator & animator

I’m a 2D animator and illustrator pursuing my Bachelors degree in Animation and Game Arts. Despite going into college primarily for 2D, I gradually developed a love for 3D animation, sculpting, and modeling, and will continue to integrate those elements with my 2D work. I bring bright neon colors, brash line work, stylized anatomy, and eccentric designs together to create dynamic pieces and stories that explore themes of identity and nonconformity. I take inspiration from visual artists like Kohei Horikoshi, Hirohiko Araki, and Oxalix Figueroa.As a kid, I always preferred animated media over live-action media, but like many other artists, my artistic journey really took off with Sonic fan characters. Nothing was more important to me than being able to make fun, simple comics featuring sonic characters in silly scenarios, and share them with my classmates. High school was when I started getting serious about experimenting with anatomy, artistic identity, and digital art in general. Now, with a Bachelor’s degree in Animation and Game Arts, I hope to create and share stories with complex, intertwining narratives, and compelling themes that feature characters of all kinds of shapes, colors, and sizes.My specialties are 2D character illustration and animation. I partake in prop design and storyboarding to compliment those skills. I’ve also learned 3D modeling/animation for characters, prop, and weapons. My weapons of choice are Ibis Paint X for all 2D still assets and illustration, Adobe Animate for 2D animation, Blender for 3D modeling and 3D animation, and Premiere Pro for video editing. Outside of my coursework, I also freelance as an illustrator, write stories, play videogames, enjoy fashion, and watch anime.
